In VOIDBORN your goal is to evolve to your ultimate form by eliminating the endless waves of enemies.

In this Action-Shooter Game you must gather as much EXP points as possible to be able to evolve and crush your enemies. Your goal is to be the first one in the leaderboard or just have fun and slay the endless waves.

CONTROLS

LEFT CLICK to shoot

ZQSD/WASD to move

SPACEBAR to use your ability (once you've evolved)

  • Free assets from Itch.io (Enemies, the dungeon, musics/sfx)

I don't know how Game Jams work but hopefully the people judging it are using the "azerty" keyboard because I'm sure not putting up with this weird layout.

Yeah, it's really my bad on this one. Now it should be fixed, you're now able to play with WASD :D

The game is cool but the controls in ZQSD give me the impression of an easy game made in to difficult artificially.

I'm glad you like this little game. I'm having a lot of feedback on the controls. I've used ZQSD because I'm using an AZERTY Keyboard. I'll provide a fix to allow QWERTY users to play without having to use SHIFT + ALT (to swap between QWERTY/AZERTY) when the game jam is done. I don't think I'm allowed to provide any modifications during the review time.
